![]() So far used in the past, initially carried out smoothing of contents of noised 2D intensity images, has poorer performance, than that actually realized with patchlet Photometric Stereo implementation (that's author's opinion on this algorithms, and notions, accordingly to moving patch of locally processed data of intensities within set of 2D images). The method is described in our research paper: Depth Super-Resolution Meets Uncalibrated Photometric Stereo (S. Patchlet PStereo could be used, as an improved approach to 3D reconstruction tasks, in strong presence of noises within data sets of 2D intensity images. And it all has been aimed for introducing new aspects of algorithm implementations for Photometric Stereo methods, used in 3D surface reconstruction's tasks. ![]() Moreover, 4 sets of the exemplary issued commands, as well as, corresponding png written figures, have been also contained within this bunch of m-scripts (within zip-file). However, it would show its value only with the thresholding mechanism. It introduces notion of patchlet Photometric Stereo, where linear combination of: a) both the resulted intensities and b) directional parameters of light sources, are taken into account altogether, within moving patchlets of local data on 2D images. OpenCV scripts for generating normalMaps using photometric stereo technique. This is the 2nd and newer demo (in subject of Photometric Stereo), which consists of few running m-scripts, which have been oryginally written in Matlab environment.
